FAQ

Temperatures during travel and photography tours in Italy vary depending on the season and region:
In winter (e.g. Gran Paradiso, Sibillini, Abruzzo): temperatures range from -10°C to 5°C, with possible snowfall and harsh but evocative climates for nature photography in snowy environments.
In spring and autumn (e.g. Stelvio, Umbria, Tuscany): temperatures between 10°C and 25°C, ideal for spotting deer, birds of prey and other ungulates.
In summer, especially in mountainous areas such as Stelvio or the Apennines, the climate remains cool, between 15°C and 28°C.
Each workshop is designed to offer optimal weather conditions for wildlife observation and photography.
For Italian or EU citizens:
A valid identity card or passport is sufficient (for tours in border areas or for foreign residents)
No visas or special permits are required
For non-EU participants:
Passport with residual validity and, in some cases, tourist visa depending on nationality.

Recommended equipment includes:
300mm to 600mm telephoto lens for distant wolves, bears, raptors and deer
Medium zoom (70–200mm) for medium-distance environmental scenes and wildlife
Wide angle for mountain and forest landscapes
Reflex or mirrorless with good dynamic range
Tripod for shelter use or monopod for light hiking
Protective clothing for gear in case of rain or snow

In winter and autumn:
Technical layered clothing, thermal or down jacket, gloves, hat, waterproof boots, warm socks and winter hiking trousers.
In spring and summer:
Breathable and comfortable clothing, a lightweight windproof jacket, trekking trousers, hiking shoes, a sun hat, a backpack and a water bottle.
Whatever the season, we recommend wearing neutral-colored clothing (green, brown, gray) to approach the animals without disturbing them.
