Nestled in 75,000 hectares of nature reserve, our Lodge is located on a rocky outcrop in the heart of the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve in the north-western province of South Africa.
Ingeniously set among boulders and ancient Tamboti trees, the private lodge is located in the middle of Madikwe, giving visitors a huge safari advantage over other lodges located on the edges of the reserve and offering guests the most incredible South African safari adventure.
Madikwe Game Reserve is home to not only Africa's 'Big 5' (Lion, Buffalo, Elephant, Rhino and Leopard), but also a wealth of over 66 mammal species, including the rare African Wild Dog, as well as the Cheetah, Eland, Kudu, Giraffe and a range of over 300 species of resident and migratory birds.

Africa is not just a journey, it is an experience. The hot sun on your face, the dust on your skin, the wind that caresses you, the adrenaline of looking a lion in the eyes and the relaxation of living far from stress. During this trip, you will spend a week immersed in South African nature, aboard an open Jeep reserved exclusively for our group. Every day we will have two safaris: at dawn, with the first light of the day, and in the afternoon until sunset, with an aperitif in the bush.
We will stay in a private reserve without regulatory limitations, which will allow us to go off-road to get closer to the Big Five. The day will include a breakfast at the lodge, a lunch overlooking the bush and a typical South African dinner surrounded by the sounds of nature. You will live a unique experience, sleeping under a starry sky and enjoying the pristine beauty of Africa.

The meeting point for the transfer will be at OR Tambo International Airport. The transfer that will take us to the Madikwe Reserve will depart between 9.00 and 9.30 AM
– After our private transfer we will arrive in the Madikwe reserve (3/4 hours of travel) in the early afternoon, lunch at the facility and departure for the first safari.
– Stop at sunset for an aperitif in the bush
-Night safari returning to our lodge
– Dinner and overnight stay
The classic safari day includes this daily program:
5 AM – Wake up
5.15-5.30 AM – Tea/coffee served at the Main Lodge
5.30 AM – Departure for the morning safari
8.00 – 8.30 AM – Stop in the bush for a coffee/hot chocolate and some small snacks
9.30-10.00 AM – Return to the lodge and breakfast with à la carte choice
1.00pm – Lunch is served.
3.00pm – Tea/coffee and small snacks served at the Main Lodge
3.30pm – Departure for the afternoon safari
5.45pm-6.00pm – Stop in the bush for an evocative evening aperitif
6.30pm – Return to the lodge, relax before dinner.
8.00pm – The bar is always open for a sparkling aperitif before dinner is served.
8.15pm – Dinner under a starry sky with delicious dishes.
Safari times can be modified in relation to sightings, weather and light conditions
DAY 7
– Wake up before dawn, coffee and departure for the classic morning safari.
– Stop in the bush, where we will get out of the car to enjoy a hot tea or coffee accompanied by typical snacks for a breakfast in the bush.
– Return to the lodge, breakfast at the table with a choice of menu.
-Preparation of your luggage and departure with the private transfer to the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg where you can board your return flight (arrival expected around 3.00pm)
It will be necessary to land at OR Tambo International Airport in the early morning or the evening before if there are no flights compatible with the transfer scheduled at 9.00 AM.
For the return we will reach OR Tambo International Airport at 4.00 PM, so any flight after 6.30 PM will be compatible with all activities.
Born in Rome in 1994, she showed a strong sensitivity towards nature from a young age. Graduated in Biological Sciences and specialized in Biodiversity and Ecosystem Management, she became a professional photographer. He leads nature workshops and tours around the world, combining his passion for biology with nature photography. With years of experience in the field, she is followed internationally for her work and dedication to nature conservation.
Signing up will be very simple! Simply follow the booking procedure by clicking on "Book Now". Once you have entered your personal data and completed the payment of the deposit, your registration will be confirmed. You will then receive a confirmation email once the procedure is completed.
To best capture the details and essence of these fascinating animals, we recommend using reflex, mirrorless or bridge cameras, equipped with lenses between 200mm and 600mm. This range of focal lengths will allow you to obtain sharp images with correct proportions! We will mainly shoot from our jeep which we will use as a stable support to take still images. No tripod is necessary, rather we recommend using a Bean Bag (you can request more information from the organizers) During this trip you will have an expert professional photographer at your disposal who will assist you in optimizing the use of your photographic equipment. Our photographer will be there to offer you personalized advice and help you make the most of the potential of your camera and lenses. You will have the opportunity to learn advanced composition techniques, light control, camera settings and more.
In this period, the temperature range is significant. We recommend dressing in layers to stay warm on cool mornings, with temperatures around 5-8°C. Technical clothing is not necessary; Light shirts, trousers and a heavy jacket are ideal for any drops in temperature. More details will be provided after registration.
A flight to OR Tambo International Airport will be required. From here, you will transfer directly to Madikwe. It is essential to arrive at the airport by 9:00 AM, as the transfer will depart at that time. All information regarding flights will be communicated after registration.
By booking via bank transfer to the organizers you accept the following clauses:
1. Since this is a pre-registration, the organizer will endeavor to promptly communicate any possible change in the price of the tour, characterized by cost fluctuations. An annual price fluctuation of around 5% is highly probable. In relation to potential changes in the prices of ground services (for example changes influenced by fluctuating costs of electricity, fuel and more).
2. The price of the entire workshop will be paid by advance bank transfer or cash according to the procedures and deadlines established by the organizers.
3. In the event that the tour does not take place due to the organizer, the entire amount paid will be refunded.
4. In case of cancellation for personal reasons, the registration fee will be retained as a reimbursement of expenses.
5. In case of cancellation for personal reasons 90 days before departure, the entire balance of the tour will be required.
