Destination

Three days in the Dolomites for a unique photographic experience in the heart of autumn. The workshop is dedicated to composition, light management and advanced techniques to best capture mirrored alpine lakes, mountain passes and the intense golden hues of larch forests.

Autumn in the Dolomites offers extraordinary scenery: the larches turn red and gold, the first snows caress the peaks, and light mists create evocative atmospheres among the valleys. Our base will be near Cortina d'Ampezzo, a strategic position that will allow us to move easily between iconic locations and more hidden corners.

During the workshop, we'll cover the entire creative process, from planning to in-camera settings to the actual shooting. We'll focus on both the basics of landscape photography and advanced techniques—with a session dedicated to post-production to enhance every detail, manage contrast, and optimize colors. The goal is to provide you with concrete tools to confidently approach every future photographic experience.

Learn more about your experience

It will be three unforgettable days spent with a professional photographer and a small group of enthusiasts. The instructor will guide you step by step, sharing his technical and practical knowledge to reveal the best secrets of landscape photography. The days include outings at dawn and dusk, with scouting and practical interventions during the central hours to optimize timing and light.

On the field we will deal with shooting techniques basic and advanced to obtain creative and high-impact images: multi-exposure, HDR bracketing, panoramas and focus-stacking. After sunset we will hold moments of review and comparison of the shots taken and sessions post-production aimed at file optimization. Small groups ensure individual attention and immediate feedback.

Before departure you will receive a logistics briefing with details on times, recommended equipment, and practical advice for making the most of autumn conditions.

Photographic activities

The activities are carried out using a practical method: theory on technique and briefing on daily activities, a trip to the spot with individual support and a field debrief during the session to analyze the results. The added value is the photographer's experience: knowing the right spots, reading the local weather forecast, and anticipating the best lighting moments makes the difference between a good photo and a memorable one.

On the field the tutor will help you in framing, managing highlights and shadows, and applying advanced techniques (multi-exposure, bracketing, focus stacking). The exercises are tailored to the group's skill level: beginners will follow a guided path, while more experienced photographers will delve into creative solutions and advanced workflows.

Editing course and lecture

Included in the workshop: a complete editing course focused on landscape photography. The theoretical part includes a frontal lesson on how to choose spots based on the position of the sun, how to position yourself in relation to natural lines, and how to exploit golden light or fog to create depth and atmosphere.

During the hands-on editing session, we'll cover exposure correction, multiple exposure merging, focus stacking, noise reduction, and color management to restore fidelity and impact to the final images. You'll leave with a complete workflow, ready for publication or fine-art printing.
