In the heart of the Kgalagadi, you will find a perfect habitat for a wide variety of life!
Here, the Kalahari lion, known for its distinctive black mane, reigns supreme. This magnificent predator is the living symbol of the park and represents the wild and untamed spirit of this area.
Alongside the Kalahari lion, the park is home to a number of other fascinating carnivores, including: cheetahs, leopards, caracals, servals, jackals, brown hyenas, spotted hyenas…
In addition, the park is home to an exceptional variety of species, including: aardvark, otocyones, giraffes, genets, meerkats, honey badgers, squirrels, zebras, wildebeests, porcupines, wild cats, gemsbok, springbok, eland, red hartebeest…
Each species within the park contributes to making this ecosystem unique.
Among the more than 300 species of birds: martial eagle, serpent eagle, red-necked hawk, black-winged kite, bateleur falcon, Nubian vulture, lunar falcon, pygmy falcon, red-footed falcon, serpent eagle, white-faced scops owl, Verreaux's eagle owl, Kori bustard, white-winged bustard, spotted eagle owl, tawny eagle and many more.
