Destination

For this event, we have chosen the Green heart of Italy: Umbria. With its varied landscape, alternating between wide open expanses and dense forests, this region provides an ideal habitat for a wide range of wildlife species.

The event will take place in two distinct environments, each with its own unique characteristics. The first part of the workshop will take place in the oasis's humid area WWF of Lake Alviano, where we will move between huts equipped for observation and photography of avifauna. Here you will have the opportunity to learn the fundamental techniques of photography from a cabin, led by two professional photographers.

The second part of the workshop will be held near the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve. In this context, we will dedicate ourselves to the search for mammals, exploring the terrain together to identify the perfect place for the stakeouts. We will study together the principles of this photographic technique, immersed in an extraordinary natural environment.

Details of the tour

Get ready to experience two days immersed in nature and nature photography!

We will explore the suggestive surroundings of Orvieto in search of the best spots for wildlife observation. During this event, you will join a group led by the professional photographer Andrea Benvenuti, which will take you step by step through the fundamental aspects of nature photography. This workshop is designed for those who want to learn the basics of wildlife photography and observation.

Together, we will go through all the essential stages that will allow every nature enthusiast to take their first nature photographs, always with full respect for the environment. The heart of this event is the protection of nature and respect for wild animals, values that will unite us in this unique experience.

The workshop will be divided into two intense days, dedicated to stakeouts, excursions and naturalistic observations of all kinds.

At this time of year, nature offers winter scenery and the wetlands fill with migratory birds.

Led by an expert photographer and environmental scientist, you will learn to approach nature and photography with competence and respect, taking your first steps in this fascinating world.

During this experience, we will stay in a welcoming 3-star hotel located in a quiet Umbrian village, where we will take the theoretical lesson, where we will spend the night and eat typical Umbrian recipes.

A few minutes from Orvieto and the motorway exit, we will find ourselves in a silent green paradise, immersed in picturesque villages and a lush nature, ideal for wildlife watching. It will be a perfect balance between relaxation and hands-on learning.
