This park, among the oldest and most prestigious in Italy, is a symbol of European environmental conservation, a real one treasure chest of biodiversity where fauna, flora and local traditions coexist in millennial balance.
It is home to some of the most iconic species of our continent: the Apennine wolf, thegolden eagle, The Abruzzo chamois, The red deer and theMarsican brown bear – an endemic subspecies, present only in these valleys. Between September and October, the woods fill with bellowing of deer in love, giving away atmospheres full of tension and magic. It's the perfect time to live and photographing nature in its purest state.
With over 200 species of birds, spectacular views And old-growth forests declared UNESCO heritage, this place represents a unmissable destination for those who love nature photography and want live an authentic experience in close contact with wildlife.

Three days completely immersed in the nature of Abruzzo Park, for an experience deep, photographic and formativeWith more time on our hands, we will have the opportunity to explore the different environments of the park in depth: ancient beech forests, high-altitude meadows and wild valleys where the large mammals of the Apennines roam. We will be able to follow the natural rhythm of the animals, increase the chances of photographic sightings and dedicate more space to composition, to the photographic story and to the post-production.
During the extended weekend, we will also have the opportunity to visit the official headquarters of the National Park and meet the officials and researchers who work every day to protect these unique ecosystems. A precious opportunity to understand how a protected area in Italy is created and managed, directly from those who care for it.
This version of the tour represents the perfect opportunity for those looking for a complete workshop, not only on a technical level but also cultural and human, truly getting in tune with the environment around us.
The days are structured around the two more suggestive bands of light: sunrise and sunsetIn these moments, we will dedicate ourselves to silent stakeouts And traveling photography in the company of our teachers. The goal will be observe and narrate wildlife in an ethical, authentic and visually powerful way.
Among the planned activities there will be Practical sessions at strategic points in the park for exciting sightings and shots, excursions on foot or by car on trails approved by the Park, use of professional equipment with the possibility of rent lenses, cameras and supports even just for a few sessions.
We will experiment advanced techniques as long exposures, silhouettes, backlights, always with the constant support from tutor photographers For refine visual language.
It will all happen in respect for the territory and its inhabitants, following a photographic and ethical code of conduct that enhances nature without ever disturbing it.
This is not just a tour: it's a true training path in nature photographyParticipants will receive technical and theoretical notions, but also a human baggage made of experiences, encounters and awareness.
You will learn to move and observe like a naturalist, reading about animal behavior. You will learn the basics of ethology and biology applied to photography, the techniques for taking effective shots in the field, optimizing light and composition.
We will manage the together complete workflow, from the shot to the professional post-production, with a full course included.
You will find out how approach wildlife ethically, without forcing or interference, and as tell a story with pictures, enhancing the environment and biodiversity.
Thanks also to themeeting with the Park managers and in the context in which we will move, you will understand what it means photographing not only for oneself, but also to raise awareness, tell and protect.
Find out how the days will unfold and what activities make up the tour
◦ Meet at the reference facility in the morning (9:00/9:30) and settle into the hotel. The workshop will begin with a theoretical session on basic nature photography techniques, followed by a general presentation of the National Park and the biology of its main species.
◦ Transfer to the headquarters of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, where a meeting will be held with agency officials. The group will have the opportunity to explore issues related to the history, management, and conservation of the protected area.
◦ In the afternoon, excursion to the valley floor In an area frequented by large, bellowing ungulates and their elusive predators. The session will conclude with a photographic hide until sunset, in a suggestive and silent setting.
◦ Dinner at the hotel with a menu featuring typical Abruzzo specialties and overnight stay.
◦ Wake up before dawn and hike up high mountain To observe and photograph deer during the ritual fights for the harem. The entire day will be dedicated to fieldwork, following the rhythms and movements of wildlife in the various areas of the park.
◦ Sunset photo session on a stalking post, immersed in the silence and warm light of the Abruzzo woods.
◦ Dinner at the hotel with typical Abruzzo specialties and overnight stay.
◦ Wake up before dawn and set up a stakeout in the valley floor areas, in search of deer in full rutting season and, with a bit of luck, Apennine wolves. This will be followed by a short photography excursion through the woods and clearings.
◦ Return to the hotel in the central part of the morning, dedicated to analyzing captured images and providing a comprehensive look at post-production. The lesson will illustrate the workflow applied to nature photography: noise reduction, contrast and color management, file optimization for web and print, and other fundamental technical aspects.
◦ 12:30 PM – Official conclusion of the workshop and final greetings.
You can extend the experience with aoptional afternoon photography outing, at a cost of €30 per person.
Passionate about nature, he travels in search of the perfect shot, exploring pristine areas around the world. Through his camera he tries to share moments and emotions. Michele defines his photography as “A search for art in nature”. He works as a professional photographer and proposes events in the most interesting and important destinations in Italy and abroad. His images have been used by Discovery, BBC, ENEL and have been published in numerous magazines around the world.
Born in Rome in 1994, she showed a strong sensitivity towards nature from a young age. Graduated in Biological Sciences, she specialized in Biodiversity and Ecosystem Management. Having become a professional photographer, she leads nature workshops and tours around the world, fusing her passion for biology with nature photography. With years of experience in the field, she is an internationally followed photographer.

To get the most out of the workshop, it is recommended to use a reflex, mirrorless or bridge with at least 300mm lens.

By booking by paying the deposit to the organizers you accept the following clauses:
1. Since this is a pre-registration, the organizer will endeavor to promptly communicate any possible change in the price of the tour, characterized by cost fluctuations. An annual price fluctuation of around 5% is highly likely if booking is made more than one year in advance. in relation to potential changes in prices of ground services (for example changes influenced by fluctuating costs of electricity, fuel and more).
2. The price of the entire workshop will be paid via the payment methods offered by the organizer, such as bank transfer, PayPal, credit card or cash according to the procedures and deadlines established by the organizers, taking charge of the transaction costs.
3. In the event that the tour does not take place due to the organiser, the entire amount paid will be refunded.
4. In case of cancellation for personal reasons of any kind and in any case not dependent on the organizer, the deposit and any other registration fees will be retained as a reimbursement of expenses.
5. In case of cancellation for personal reasons within 60 days of departure, the entire balance of the tour will be required.
